What is Catalyst?

Catalyst is a youth leadership and development program run for the first time in March, 2018. This first incarnation of Catalyst guided 15 passionate young change-makers, aged 15-19, through four interactive workshops which focused on developing knowledge about issues affecting other animals, critical thinking skills and self awareness about how they could contribute to the animal rights movement. Find out what the participants had gained from the experience on 3RC's Freedom of Species podcast.

Applications for Catalyst 2019 will be opening later in the year. Sign up to our mailing list to receive notifications about future events.

Catalyst is supported by Voiceless, the Animal Protection Institute.

Who we are

Young Voices for Animals, or YVA (pronounced ‘ee-vah’), is a space run by young people, for young people, who want to build a better world for all animals. YVA provides an empowering environment for young minds to realise their leadership potential and create meaningful change in their community.

We believe in the power of young people to change the world and have created Catalyst to inspire big ideas. Head over to ARZone's podcast where we talk more about these big ideas.

How does Catalyst work?

Through interactive workshops, Catalyst is your chance to gain a deep understanding of how you can make a difference to the lives of animals everywhere and how your unique strengths can help you make an impact. With the support of experienced facilitators and guest speakers, no idea is too big!
