Catalyst

Join Catalyst and learn to use your voice to create a kinder world.

What is Catalyst?

The first of its kind, Catalyst is a free leadership program that offers passionate young people aged 16‑18 the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge to take their love of animals to the next level and build a more compassionate future. Catalyst is supported by Voiceless, the animal protection institute.

Through Catalyst you will join an exciting group of young changemakers and have the opportunity to be part of a movement which is striving for a fairer world.

Who we are

Young Voices for Animals, or YVA (pronounced ‘ee-vah’), is a space run by young people, for young people, who want to build a better world for all animals. YVA provides an empowering environment for young minds to realise their leadership potential and create meaningful change in their community.

We believe in the power of young people to change the world and have created Catalyst to inspire big ideas.

How does Catalyst work?

Through four interactive sessions, Catalyst is your chance to gain a deep understanding of how you can make a difference to the lives of animals everywhere and how your unique strengths can help you make an impact. With the support of experienced facilitators and guest speakers, no idea is too big!

Following the workshops, you will enter a three month mentorship program where YVA team members will support you to realise your personal goals.

Additionally Catalyst offers interested participants a pathway to become involved with the internationally recognised non-profit organisation Voiceless, the animal protection institute. You will have the chance to join their youth advisory panel or undertake a professional internship with the Voiceless team.
